In the movie A Beautiful Mind, John Nash has the disorder of being a schizophrenic. There are four ways that help determining a psychological disorder.
Maladaptive: John didn't adapt well to the "fake friends" or the hospital
Unjustifiable: Its hard for John to excuse/ get ride of his fake friends.
Disturbing: John almost let his baby drown because he thought that Charles, one of his fake friends, was watching him.
Atypical: Johns obsession of covering his "office" with magazines and solving of problems.
