Dreams & Latent Content

Some reoccurring dreams that I have had is one that I am in a city that has 4 buildings in each of the corners. I have to live off of those four buildings to try and stay away from the people who are chasing me and trying to kill me.
  1. Running away
  • Refuse to admit accountability for something you have done.
  • Trying to get away from something restrictive
Another dream that has come up more than once is a dream were I am laying in my bed. At a certain time everyone in my house will here a bell. When that bell goes off you have a certain amount of time to get from your bed to the couch down in the living room. If you don't get there, these scary people that live in my parents closet will come and attack you. Every time i sleep over the bell and don't get down there fast enough. Ill be unable to move and wont be able to say anything. I sit in my bed and scream without anything coming out of my mouth. I always wake up right before they can hurt me.
  1. Attacked
  • someone is criticizing your integrity and you feel that you must stand up and preserve your good reputation.
  • ambushing someone close to you and are feeling guilty about it
One dream that I just had was that I was playing pool with these random people that I didn't even know. We decided to play on the sidewalk, and whenever we didn't get the pool ball into the hole, we would get a water balloon thrown at us from a building.
  1. Pool Table
  • putting off making a decision
  • need to be more cooperative. You have to learn how to work harmoniously with others.

Bullying, Harassment, & the Need to Belong

Bullying has become a huge problem in the United States. Everyone doesn't realize that they are doing it because there not seeing what their affect has on the victim. A lot of the bullying isn't resolved and the victim doesn't want anyone to know what is happening to them, so they think the best thing to do is just to leave the world and commit suicide. I don't think that there is a line between acceptable and unacceptable. I don't even think that their is an acceptable way of bullying. Yes there is a fine line between a little joke, but you have to know how far of an extent you could be going. I as a KHS student could help bullying in our school by standing up for those that are getting bullied. When i see it happen i wont just walk by it and stare to see what happens next, ill stand in for that student and make sure that he doesn't leave there hurt.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder- Twilight Zone reactions

The Twilight Zone video was very surprising. When i looked at her face I figured that she was the one that was really ugly and the reason they didn't show the doctors faces was because they were the prettier ones. I was surprised to see that she was the prettier one and they looked disgusting and like a pig.
To me beauty changes. You may be the cutest/ hottest teenager ever but as you grow up and start to get lazy you'll loose your body figure that you just had to keep when you were young. You'll grow up with wrinkles and saggy arms. Some people may think that botox is the way to go, but you can only go to some extent before over doing it and just getting worse than you intended. Your getting older your not going to want to stay up to date with all the tanning lotions or the beauty products that you previously used.
Beauty in Kimberly for guys is for a girl to be skinny. Everyone likes a girl to be skinny with a big chest and big behind. They of course have to have a pretty face with not a ton of acne. As for girls they like there guys to have a nice buff muscular body. They also are the people that aren't interested with acne. They must be tall and a lot of girls go for the blue eyes.

Stanford Prison Study

During the period of time that we acted out our personality I realized that people started to feel bad for the way that they were acting towards each other. I felt better about myself because I didn't have to worry about hurting peoples feelings or hurting people.
The prisoner that I thought changed the most was prisoner #8612. Even though some of them did everything that they did and had small nervous breakdowns, 8612 had to leave early. He was getting so sick of people ordering him around, which he probably wasn't used to, that he came up with the idea to start lying about how he really felt. He was completely stubborn to all the mock guards and refused to do anything which lead to the other prisoners shunning him because they had to deal with a punishment because of his actions. He started giving out false information to the inmates about how there is no escape or way of getting out. With those actions he lost complete control of "leadership" to the prisoners, meaning he lost the way everyone looked up to him as. He literally then turned crazy because of his feelings and the situation he had been in. The point to were he didn't want to leave the place but later choose to because he was so mentally ill. He decided to come back and even release his "friends" from the prison because he didn't think that what was happening to them was fair.

Walter Freeman

The lobotomist was a film about a doctor (Walter Freeman) who found out about a lobotomy and how it dealt with people with mental illness. Walter was the man who could supposedly save people from the dead. There was all these procedures that Walter went through so that he could finally find the cure for mental illness and save people from going crazy. Walter was later stripped from his procedures/doctor because of disagreements on how he was treating there illness. There are still some hospitals that are still doing this procedure around the world.
I believe that Walter Freeman is a mad man. He kept doing all these procedures. He thinks that he is helping all these people but if they need multiple procedures then that's a waste of time and money for the patients that he would be treating. Its impossible for him to treat all these people that are so close to suicide. He thinks sticking a tool through someones eye is going to help a patient is something that will suck patients in...I would never be appealed to have someone do that. Yet he could be a good doctor because people are saying that they are cured and that there lives are back to normal, but the extents that he went to so that these people could be cured are ridiculously crazy.

Outrageous Celebrity

Charlie Sheen
The actions of Charlie Sheen are unexplainable. Beating up his wife? Thinking he can get away with it? The main question was, WHAT WAS HE THINKING!? He must not have been processing his consequences through his head. Maybe he had built up anger and decided to take it out on his own wife...who knows? From the psycho dynamic perspective, he just had to release his anger on whatever he had built up inside of him and that forced him to beat up his wife. His behavior now affects his consequences. He has to deal with the media and him loosing a LOT of things. No one really knows what Charlie was thinking when he beat up. Did he even know that he was hurting his own wife! It could be the social- cultural that surrounds him that could of  possibly possessed him to do what he did.He doesn't really show much love from a humanistic perspective.

About Me

My name is Stephanie and I am currently a junior in High School. I am an honor roll student for most of the terms. In my free time I like to hang out with my friends and play basketball. I play basketball all year round. Basketball is my favorite and only sport that I play. I am on an AAU team that travels around the country to play basketball tournaments.
After high school I am hoping that I can either go to Stevens Point or Milwaukee. I want to go for something in the medical field but I am not quite sure for what yet. After I am done with college I am hoping to get a job that will pay well.
